Event video production and broadcast

Event video production, filming and broadcast

Most events produce one highlight reel and nothing else, which wastes the single most expensive day of content a business creates all year. We plan capture alongside the event itself — multi-camera coverage, livestream or broadcast-grade output, and a repurposing edit list agreed before the cameras arrive.

    • Multi-camera capture for conferences, launches and awards
    • Livestream and hybrid delivery on a dedicated line
    • Sports and broadcast-grade multi-camera production
    • A repurposing edit list agreed before the shoot

Capture planned with the event, not bolted on

Camera positions, lighting for camera rather than for the room, a clean audio feed from the desk rather than a shotgun mic at the back, and sightlines that do not put a tripod in the audience's view. All of that is a site-plan decision. Booked a week out, a film crew documents your event; planned with the production, it multiplies it.

    • Camera plan drawn into the site or room layout
    • Lighting specified for camera exposure, not only for the audience
    • Clean audio and vision feeds taken from the production desk
    • Interview and vox-pop positions with controlled background noise

    Livestream, hybrid and broadcast output

Streaming is a broadcast job, not a camera job: a dedicated internet line with guaranteed upload, encoder redundancy, a vision mixer, a director calling the cut, and a plan for what the remote audience sees during room-only moments. Venue wifi included in the day-delegate rate will not carry it.

    • Dedicated line with bonded or redundant backup
    • Vision mixing, graphics, lower thirds and remote presenter integration
    • Platform delivery — streaming platforms, intranet or broadcast handoff
    • Recording of every source for post-event edits

    Sports event broadcast and operations

Sports capture adds accreditation, pitch- or trackside positions, rights and clearance constraints, radio comms with the event's operations team, and a turnaround expectation measured in hours rather than weeks. We deliver broadcast production alongside event operations so the coverage and the event are run by one team on one radio channel.

    • Multi-camera trackside, pitchside and elevated positions
    • Accreditation, rights and clearance handling
    • Same-day highlight turnaround for social and press
    • Coordination with stewarding, crowd management and ops control

Repurposing: what the day is actually worth

One conference day can produce a keynote film, six speaker session recordings, a highlight cut, twelve vertical social clips, customer testimonials and a sizzle reel for next year's sell. We agree that deliverable list before the shoot, because it changes what gets filmed — testimonials need a quiet room booked, vertical clips need framing decisions made live.

    How we run it

    1. 01

      Deliverables first

We agree the edit list before the camera plan, because the outputs decide the coverage.

    2. 02

      Technical recce

Room or site walkthrough for camera positions, lighting, power, audio feeds and connectivity.

    3. 03

      Connectivity and redundancy

Dedicated line ordered, backup path configured and tested before the build day, not on it.

    4. 04

      Shoot day

Crew integrated into the event's run of show and radio channel, directed rather than roaming.

    5. 05

      Post and delivery

Agreed edits delivered to schedule, with all source material archived and handed over.

    From the delivery side

Things worth knowing before you brief anyone

    • Venue wifi in the day-delegate package is shared and almost never viable for live streaming; a dedicated line typically needs ordering three to four weeks ahead.
    • Audio is what audiences judge, not resolution — a clean feed from the sound desk matters more than an extra camera.
    • Stage lighting designed for the room routinely under-exposes on camera; the lighting spec has to be agreed with the AV supplier, not discovered at rehearsal.
    • Vertical social clips must be framed at capture; reframing 16:9 footage afterwards crops the speaker out of half the shots.

    Frequently asked

What does event video production cost in the UK?

Indicatively, a single-camera documentation shoot runs £3k–£10k, a multi-camera conference or livestream £10k–£40k, and broadcast-grade or sports production above £40k. Video is usually commissioned as part of a wider event scope with us, where our minimum project size is £30,000.

What's the best company for sports event broadcast production and management?

For sports the deciding factor is whether one team can hold both the broadcast and the event operation — coverage, accreditation, rights, comms with stewarding and ops control, and same-day turnaround. We deliver sports broadcast production alongside event operations and crowd management so both sit on one radio channel and one accountable lead.

    Can you livestream a conference?

Yes — dedicated internet line with redundant backup, multi-camera vision mixing, graphics, remote presenter integration and delivery to your streaming platform or intranet, with every source recorded for post-event edits.

Do you film exhibitions, launches and automotive events?

Yes, including stand and activation capture at European trade shows, product and vehicle launches, and controlled-environment filming where lighting and background noise have to be managed.

How quickly can we get the footage?

Same-day highlight cuts are standard where the brief requires them, with full session recordings typically within five working days and finished edits to an agreed schedule.
